Host Families: Expectations

All families applying to serve as hosts for exchange students must be screened by World Experience to assure the best possible experience for all participants. World Experience is looking for families willing to share their homes and their hearts with teenagers anxious to share their culture with a family.

Families with small children, no children or single parents are encouraged to apply. Host families may choose a student from a roster of all available students. A local coordinator will assist the family throughout the experience

Host families provide:

  • • Family and Cultural Values

World Experience provides:

  • • Medical Insurance

  • • Orientation for Students and Families

  • • Counseling

  • • A Local Coordinator

  • • School Placement

  • • Travel Coordination

  • • Social Events

Exchange student provides:

  • • Spending Money

  • • Inquiring Mind

  • • Desire to Learn and Share
